# 4K Streaming

***

## **Overview**

Under the recommended network conditions, CIME supports smooth and stable 4K streaming playback.

Because 4K video requires significantly more bandwidth than standard HD streams (up to 35 Mbps), playback delays or buffering may occur depending on your network connection.

If you're experiencing buffering, lag, or playback interruptions, try the troubleshooting steps below.

## **Check Your Internet Speed**

* Visit [Fast.com](https://fast.com) to automatically test your download speed.
* We recommend 150 Mbps or higher for the best 4K viewing experience.

If your connection speed is below the recommended level, review the network tips below.

## **Optimize Your Network Connection**

* Use a wired internet connection whenever possible.
* If you're using Wi-Fi, connect to a 5 GHz network.
* Reduce large downloads or uploads on the same network while watching.
* Restart your router or move closer to your Wi-Fi access point, then test your speed again.

If your network doesn't meet the recommended requirements, you may experience buffering or reduced video quality.

## **If You're Still Experiencing Issues**

* Switch the stream quality to **1080p**.

1080p still delivers excellent video quality and may help reduce buffering or playback interruptions on slower connections.

We're always working to improve playback performance and provide the best possible viewing experience on CIME.
