# Gift Subscriptions

Gift Subscriptions let you purchase a subscription for another viewer in a channel.

You can choose a specific viewer to receive the gift or send it to a random eligible viewer in the community.

Recipients of a Gift Subscription receive one month of subscriber benefits, just like a regular subscriber.

## **Gift Subscription Perks**

When you purchase a Gift Subscription, you'll receive one Gift Subscription Message that can be used to trigger a special on-stream animation and sound effect.

You'll also earn special gift-giver badges based on the total number of subscriptions you've gifted. Gift counts are weighted differently by subscription tier:

* Tier 1: Each gifted subscription counts as 1 gift
* Tier 2: Each gifted subscription counts as 3 gifts

## **Ways to Gift**

You can send Gift Subscriptions in two ways:

* Gift a subscription to a specific viewer
* Gift a subscription to a random eligible viewer

## **Restrictions**

Gift Subscriptions cannot be sent to:

* Viewers who are already subscribed to the channel
* Accounts that have been banned from the channel
* The channel owner's account

## **How Gift Subscriptions Are Applied**

The recipient's subscription begins immediately after the Gift Subscription is received and remains active for 1 month.

## **Refund Policy**

Gift Subscriptions are delivered instantly and cannot be refunded once purchased.

Refunds are not available for situations such as:

* Selecting the wrong recipient
* Being unhappy with the result of a random gift
* Gifting a subscription to someone who already has an active subscription
