# Managing Cheer Donations

Cheer Donations allow viewers to **send animated donation items that appear on stream in real time**.\
These interactive effects help viewers participate more actively in a stream and show support for their favorite streamers.

Cheer Donations can be used to support a stream, celebrate exciting moments, or create fun interactions during a broadcast.

Streamers can enable or disable Cheer Donations in their donation settings.

## **Enable or Disable Cheer Donations**

You can enable or disable Cheer Donations in \[Studio] → \[Cheer Donations].

| Setting  | Description                                          |
| -------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Enabled  | Viewers can send Cheer Donations during your stream. |
| Disabled | Cheer Donations are turned off.                      |

## **Overlay Setup**

To display Cheer Donation effects on stream, add the Effects Overlay URL to OBS.

Go to \[Studio] → \[Live Stream] → \[Overlay Settings] to copy the Effects Overlay URL.

Once the Effects Overlay is added to OBS, Cheer Donation effects will appear automatically whenever a viewer sends a Cheer Donation.

## **Testing Cheer Donations**

Before enabling Cheer Donations, you can test how alerts and effects will appear on stream.

Go to \[Studio] → \[Live Stream] → \[Overlay Settings] and click Test Cheer Donation Alert.

You can also send a test alert by clicking a Cheer Donation item in the Cheer Donation settings page.
