# Purchasing Beam
CI.ME Beam costs 1,100 KRW per 1,000 including VAT, caps at 1,000,000 a day and 3,000,000 per donation, expires after 5 years, and is spent oldest first.

## **Overview**
**Beam** is CI.ME's virtual currency, which can be used to support streamers during live broadcasts.
Once purchased, Beam can be used across CI.ME's donation features and sent along with a personalized message.
## **Purchasing Beam**
* **Beam can be purchased in increments of 100, starting from a minimum purchase of 1,000 Beams.**
* 1,000 Beams = 0.95USD
* Additional app marketplace fees apply when charging Beams in the CI.ME app.
* Maximum daily purchase limit: 1,000,000 Beams
## **Using Beam**
Beam can be used to support streamers through CI.ME's donation features during live streams.
* Maximum donation per transaction: **3,000,000 Beams**
* Beam is **deducted on a first-in, first-out basis**
Beam may have different statuses depending on how it was acquired or used.

| **Reserved** | Reserved for a mission reward and temporarily unavailable until the mission outcome is determined. If the mission is canceled or unsuccessful, the Beam will be returned to your available balance. |

## **Expiration**
Purchased Beam expires 5 years from the date of purchase.
* Expiration period: **5 years from the payment date**
Expired Beam cannot be restored or refunded
## **Auto Recharge**
Auto Recharge allows Beam to be automatically purchased based on your settings.
Beam can be automatically recharged when:
* Your Beam balance falls below a specified amount
* A scheduled recharge date is reached
If the selected recharge date does not exist in a particular month, the payment will be processed on the **last day of that month**.

* Donations are voluntary and **made at the user's discretion.**
* Donations are provided as a form of support to streamers and **do not create any obligation or guarantee** of benefits, services, or outcomes.
* **Users and streamers** are responsible for any interactions, communications, or outcomes related to donations.

Q. How do I purchase Beam?
Beam can be purchased directly from the donation menu while watching a stream on PC, mobile web, or the CI.ME app.
When using Chat Donations, Video Donations, or Mission Donations, you can purchase Beam through the dedicated purchase button provided in each feature.
Please note that Cheer Donations do not include a separate Beam purchase button.
You can also purchase Beam or set up Auto Recharge through \[My Page] → Donations & Subscriptions or the Beam Balance section.
Auto Recharge is currently not available in the CI.ME mobile app.
Q. Can Beam be used right away after purchase?
Yes. After the purchase is complete, you can use it immediately.
Q. In what order is Beam used?
Beam is used on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis, meaning the oldest purchased Beam is used first.
For example, if you purchase 2,000 Beams and later purchase an additional 3,000 Beams, then use 4,500 Beams for a donation, the initial 2,000 Beams will be used first, followed by 2,500 Beams from the second purchase.
In this case, 500 Beams from the second purchase will remain in your balance.
